Why am I having a problem playing music over my Bluetooth with my headphones connected?

Problem playing music over bluetooth with headphones connected.

Hi, I recently changed from iPhone 5s to Galaxy S5 and so far I'm really glad I did, really impressed with the S5. However I have a problem I don't know how to fix. I drive for a living and the stereo in the vehicle I drive allows 2 devices to be connected through bluetooth but only 1 of them can be used for calls, So I have my work phone connected and set as the priority device for phone call audio. Meanwhile I also have my Galaxy S5 connected to play my music through the stereo. The problem I have is as soon as I attach my standard Samsung earphones that came with the phone the music is automatically played through them instead. When I had the iPhone it would connect via bluetooth and play the music through the stereo and receive calls through the headset. So basically what I want to happen is for bluetooth to take priority over headphones for music playback but headphones (when attached) to take priority over bluetooth for phone call audio, is this possible and what do I need to do to achieve this?

Why don't you just let the phone handle both ? It's against the law in most states anyways to be driving with head phones on. The law in NYS is you can have 1 ear bud in I think .

I need it to separate them because the audio quality of the bluetooth in the van is crap for the person at the other end (much better through headphones) and here in the UK it's a bit of a grey area but not actually illegal unless it can be proven that it's causing you to drive with undue care and attention. Fact is I'd prefer someone to be wearing earphones to take a phone call than holding their handset.
