Why am I having Internet problems since Android update

My Galaxy S7 Edge recently updated to Android 7. Since then I have only been able to get Internet connection from my home router or other private rooter that I'm signed into. I can't use public networks nor 5G. I get messages from Google saying it's an insecure connection and it won't let me proceed. This is useless to me if I can only get Internet at home, the whole point in having a smartphone is that I ought to be able to get on the Internet wherever I go. Why is Google imposing needs restrictions and taking away any choice from me?

I don't use Google Pay and never will, although that is raised in the automated message as one of the reasons for the refusal to connect me

If this was my situation I'd try clearing the System Cache first.

Then if no joy back up and restore.

Do you have a Samsung Service Centre nearby to take it to or your network Store.
