Mobile data loss

I have a samaung galaxy s5. I leave the wifi on at the same time as my mobile data, I lose my mobile data and have to call the company to get it reset. I was just told I can't leave both of them on all the time that is why I lose my mobile data. Is that true.

Hello and welcome to Android Central Kenneth Hall2!

It is certainly is not true on the international Galaxy S5 models, G900F, as I have both enabled, 24/7.

However, it may be different for some of the carrier or non Samsung firmware, minority variant, models that have their own, peculiar, data and Wi-Fi set-up's.

Check which model you have, as per #1.2 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Re: Mobile data loss

What do you mean when you say you leave your WiFi on at the same time as your mobile data? You can leave your WiFi on at all times and it will connect and disconnect when it needs to.

When the WiFi is CONNECTED (like at your house, hotel, McDonald's, etc...), your mobile data is disconnected because you don't need it. Once you leave that area, your WiFi will disconnect and in a few seconds the mobile data will reconnect.

I leave my WiFi on at all times and my S5 just switches when it needs to.
