Why am I not able to make or receive calls?

Not able to make or receive calls....

My HTC One Max recently started not being able to make calls or receiving calls. I am running on Verizon 4G LTE network and my phone is completly stock with no customizations. I can have full 4G LTE service and go to make a call and loose all service as the phone is trying to dial out. The phone will try to dial out for about 10 seconds then hang up, say lost call and go back to full service. Also when someone tries to call the phone goes straight to voice mail and doesn't show a missed call in the call log, the only time i know someone tried to call is if they leave a voice mail. I have taken the phone to Verizon where they gave me a new SIM card and that helped for couple of days but then the phone went back to having the same issue. I called tech support from a different phone and they were no help so i done a factory reset to no avail...still having the same issue. Any suggestions other than phone replacement? I have had the phone for a little over a year and am tryng to hold out until my next upgrade.

Putting a phone in rice, if it's wet, is a good way to destroy it (see Oh, no! My Phone got Wet!). If it's not wet it won't do anything. Maybe having the battery out for a while fixed something (like a hung radio).

The phone has not gotten wet and the battery cannot be removed from this phone that I am aware of. Also I can still use my data and send texts...just can't make or receive calls

It's kinda weird as you can send text and receive data but making calls. I can see your phone and SIM card has no problem. Perhaps is becoz of the network in that area? How long does this happen to you?

It has been happening for about a month now. I don't thinks it's the network as I've lived here for 2 years and only recently started having issues
