Why am I unable to sync my Sony Experia M2 and my Ford?

Sony experia m2 and Ford Sync

I have been using a samsung galaxy s2 with my ford kuga (2013) sync system with no problem. I have now switched to a Sony Xperia M2 and now cannot sync my phonebook nor display text messages. Any ideas?

I'm guessing that the Bluetooth profiles of the vehicle's radio and the phone aren't close enough to talk to each other. (Bluetooth isn't a data standard, it's more of a "these are the functions available - do what you want with them" thing. It's like MMS was in 2003, when you couldn't send a picture from one carrier to another.) Not much you can do unless Ford has a service bulletin for an update to their system. Talk to your Ford dealer's service department.
