Why am I unable to update software for S4 Mini?

I'm unable to update software for S4 Mini

I have 830MB free on my device memory and 5,92GB free on my memory card. Yet, I am unable to update my software.
"Unable to install software update (607,92MB). Not enough space in device storage or SD card. Delete some items"
Help?

did you restart your device
it is a problem that i have seen with more samsung devices in the past
otherwise you should factory reset your phone and update first before installing any apps
