Why are backgound noises louder than my voice during calls?

Android Central Question

When I'm in a call via internet (Messenger or Whatsapp), the other person hears even the tiniest background noise louder than my voice. This happens whether I use the loudspeaker or the phone's original headset. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 with Android 8.1.
