Why are certain Apps unable to access the internet?

[AC Question]

Certain Apps unable to access the internet

Last night everything in our house was fine. But when I woke up this morning, all four android devices in our house are having problems accessing certain aspects of the internet. We also have two Laptops which appear to be perfectly fine and are having no internet issues at all. (all devices connected via wi-fi)

This isn't a conclusive list ... but ...

things that CANNOT access the internet:

Amazon Music
Guardian App
BBC News App
BBC Sport App
Twitter App
Spotify
Speedtest
IMDB
Also unable to get to Google.com from ANY browser


Things that CAN access the internet:
Facebook
Facebook Messenger
Barclays Banking
Youtube
Seemingly any website other than google.com

We've reset all 3 devices and reset the router but the problem persists.

when you say reset, is that a factory reset or just a reboot?

Have you tried updating the apps that aren't connecting?
