Why are Google photos that I delete to trash still coming up in the library from another device?

I worked on deleting photos for over an hour, from my android tablet. When I just opened up Google photos from my note9 all those photos are still there! Please help. My google storage is running low and was hoping this would help.

Welcome to Android Central! How exactly were you deleting the photos in Google Photos? Were you tapping the trashcan icon, or were you tapping Menu>Delete from Device? The latter only deletes the locally saved photo, while keeping the backed up copy in your Google Photos cloud.
