Why are Kik notifications not showing on my lock screen or when I pull down?

I just upgraded my Galaxy S7 to Android 7.0 and I went to my notification settings and set Kik notifications to show up on my lock screen, but when I get a notification I need to open my phone to even see if it's kik or not because it doesnt even show up on the status bar.

Look in settings... Notifications... Advanced notifications... Find kik... Go through the settings there.

I've tried everything from uninstalling, to re-installing several times and still not getting kik notifications. This is very frustrating since it just stopped out of the blue
