Why are my photos going to my husbands phone and vice versa?

recently our pictures are showing in both my and my husbands phone. what could cause this?

Are you using the same Google account for both phones? Or perhaps you are both logged into a common Google account?

i am not sure. How can I check this? sorry not very Google savvy.

Go into settings, and check Accounts
