The Gallery app and camera stopped displaying my pictures, I did a file search and found them in the camera internal storage file. How do I get them to display again in the gallery and camera roll?

Hi, you can try to long press them camera storage file and send back to your gallery.

I tried to copy and paste it doesn't work and also tried to move but it only lets me move them in internal storage

Have you made sure you're viewing all pictures or the Camera album in your Gallery App? Does it display the contents in any other folder?

the Gallery and Camera do not show any pictures, they are currently only in the internal storage file under DCIM/Camera

Another thing in your gallery app go into settings make sure Samsung cloud is syn to it ?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select Gallery, then Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now open Gallery again and wait a few seconds for the database to repopulate. Do you see the photos now?

Hard to say -- some bit of wonky cached data might have gotten in there. That's why I suggest clearing the app cache and app data, thus allowing the Gallery app to rebuild the database.

Ok, using your file manager app, look in the /DCIM/Camera directory, and make sure there isn't a file called ".nomedia" there. If there is, delete it.

Awesome!:D Although I wonder what a .nomedia file was doing in the /DCIM/Camera directory in the first place?
