Why are my pictures dull at one side and bright at other side?

Picture dull at one side and bright at other side.

Hi. I am using Moto G 1st gen. Sometimes when I click picture with little dull lighting conditions with Flash on (not auto), I see the picture dull at one side and bright at other side. Sometimes a part of a pic s dull and rest is bright. Wen i use a different camera app, it seems to be alright. But i have`nt used other app for long time. Is this an app issue or hardware issue?

If other apps don't cause you this issue you may want to default to this other app. Meanwhile when first reading your post I was thinking that perhaps the lens is dirty. Surprisingly it doesn't take much oil from a finger or dust from a pocket to cause issues with some cameras.

This issue is with the default camera app. I just used other app at the same time, but no issues. The play store reviews for Motorola camera app says the same.

I had the same issue with my Moto G..
camera does this when HDR is on auto ..
but when you turn off the HDR.. it will be fine..
I factory reset my phone and then it seems to work fine but still does the same problem once in a while..

so the temporary solution is to turn off your HDR mode

I did`nt know this HDR stuff buddy. Thanks. But it looks like the issue is with the app as well. I tried using google camera, but its ok for basic use. Any one has apk for Sony camera or samsung camera? I tried in xda devolopers site, but it seems to be a lengthy process.
