Why are my widgets gone?

I updated my Samsung S7 Edge with the new update and the gallery widget is gone. Does anyone know why is it gone and will it be back?

I don't know why, but I think they were trying to push the update asap.

The gallery icon changed with Nougat, but regardless, it would be in the apps drawer.

The gallery widget seems to have been removed from the OS (not sure why), but it can be downloaded from Galaxy Apps - search "Picture frame Widget".

Can't seem to find the my places widget also...
