Why are new folders made in the gallery not saved to the SD card?

I recently got this Samsung galaxy note 3. In the gallery the folders have icons on them, a folder and an sd card. The new folders that I made when organizing pictures on this phone don't have the SD card icon. I can't figure out how to change that.

IIRC, you will have to go to My Files, long press on the folders to choose them, the the more menu to move them. Then choose the SD card to move them too.

The names of the "albums" are the names of the folder the picture is in. How that folder is shown is up to the app showing it. I have a Note 3 and still can't figure out exactly what you're getting at, though. (The app has icons - the only icons the pictures have are checkboxes.)
