Why are some o fmy stock apps closing?

some stock apps closing

got my new s6 today and started up etc, updated etc

however a lot of the stock apps just close when opened, gmail, messaging just get message saying "x" has stopped working

Welcome to Android Central! Did you actually do the system update that already rolled out? If so, try wiping the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095
