Why are some words I type not sending in messages?

I have a Samsung S8. I've noticed certain things where one or more of the words I type (and see in the text box that I've typed) disappear when I send the message. This mainly happens on snapchat with the phrase "its fine". I can see that I've typed "its" and yet I hit send and only the word "fine" sends. This also happens on chrome when I'm on mixer with just about every other word. Any suggestions?
