Why are the colors on my photos running or bleeding onto all my other photos?

I had a moto4 and was editing photos from my daughters graduation along with some other photos from family over the years with a editing app (face blemishes cleaner) and. While editing tje colors started pouring from around hairline and outlines and running onto all my other photos i have in photosafe and my gallery leaving them with blotches of colors all over and making the photos look wet. I tried again a few days later when photos were stained and dried and suddenly my photo would start "leaking" water like substance and even colors all over again. The person at the metro store kept saying what i was seeing was shade and that my camera itself was fine after being checked. Then finally just said it may be my screen or it could be internal. Because i was due to get an upgrade anyhow i did amd got a lg aristo2 today. I told them not to woory bout transferring my pics or contacts so they didnt but when i got home and turned phone ob i noticed that some of my pics were in my google photos and not sure how and of course the same thing is going on with my pictures with them having the wet look even after editing and water falling from chin to chest on other. Why is it doing this with my new phone and what do i need to do now. With the blemish editing app if u swipe instead of tap it will unedit a photo and in some of the photos attached in the darker areas in background and around colars, inbetween seem of a jacket and shirt. Or inbetween two people standing next to each other and even around the face or hairline and either top of head or by ears and down towards bottom whereever its darker is where it starts leaking color and will go onto other photos and you will see dark outline on figures including hands and fingers. Please help im beginning to think that my photo issues have made me nearly lose my mind and ferl like i im going insane fussing over these special photos!!

What you are saying makes no sense. Colors can't start running or dripping on a digital photo (though a broken screen will, but that applies to anything you're viewing). I can't see anything immediately off on the photos you uploaded either. Can you upload an example with the problem area circled so we know what to look for? Even better if you can crop it to that spot because the forum compresses images and loses a lot of detail on a full sized image.

The only thing that comes to mind off hand is noise reduction. If you turn that up too high, it can create a watercolor painting type effect, but even in that the colors don't act like you described.

Please help

Welcome to the forums.

I'll go through what I think of the photos one by one.

1st. I see nothing wrong or with what you are trying to describe. This photo looks pretty good to me. If I had to say anything about it, it would be a little too much light exposure?

2nd. This one seems grainy to me, but that sort of thing is usually fixed by more light/using the flash. I see no color running. Edit: I do see a white spot that looks similar to what you are trying to describe on the lower left of the photo, within the light blue of the dress.

3rd. This one looks like it was a printed photo that was damaged, and then scanned. I am referring to the strip of white down the young girl's head.

4th/5th. These look like they are grainy; a flash would have helped here. I see no color running or wet spots.

6th. I see nothing of what you are trying to describe here. This looks like probably the best shot of the group.

7th. If in this photo the flower prints are supposed to be pure white, then possibly there may be something here, as they seem an off white leaning toward green?

That's what I'm thinking. Especially with the second one. That white spot looks like a flash reflecting off a printed photo.

Assuming for a moment that this is a picture of a developed picture, is it possible that the leaking color effect is the camera is confused by the gloss on the paper?

Maybe. If these are printed photos, then I'd suggest having a lab digitize them with a photo scanner. If that isn't an option and the OP must use a phone, then get the photos in good light, but have the light sources shine in from the sides to prevent reflectingt in the phone's photo. Preferably multiple light sources to eliminate shadowing.

I totally agree it makes no sense but it is what is happening. i'm not one that can only have just ONE thing go wrong within a span of 24hours, its lke i put out a welcime mat !
I now have a new android phone and not even 10min after i had it in my hand and went to sttrying to figure out how to work this one i noticed my screen looks like it has water or some type of liquid behind it. With a light pink tint. The phone is brand new and i told the salesman not to bother transferring anything over from my old phone that i would to it later. I googled and another android site came up and every single one of their photos looked like the ink had been running on them as well and other pic looked lije they were soaking wet with water marks and smeared.
The same thing was happening with my other phone i had the photo issue with. Could Those pics that were bad thar i had saved on my other phone sonehow be causing this problem on my new phone? The only thing that was installed on my phone was google download manager automatically started and after that I found photos on this new phone from the old one. i guess when i signed in to google bc there they were. any help or advice is really appreciated

i will try to send those updated pics you alsi asked for pointing out the problems but going through each one with golfdriver97 below if it will help anyone solve this issue.

This sounds like a broken screen. They do have a liquid inside, and breaking them can result in that liquid getting out of the individual pixels and spreading across the screen. Can you use another camera to take a photo of your phone with the screen on and post it as well? Because this would be a hardware problem, taking a screenshot would not show the liquid spreading across.

i will try to do that now and post it for you but if you can take another look at the photos i posted yesterday and tell me if you notice ANYTHING at all different with them. Also, take a look at the pic of my father's eyes. For a couple seconds and see if anything happens with them. Im not sure if anyone who looks at the photos can see what all im seeing and what my husband and son seen just now as well or if its just on my devices.

Actually it does - it's an LCD screen, and the L stands for liquid. But it's confined to tiny capillary tubes inside the screen.

every single one of their photos looked like the ink had been running on them as well and other pic looked lije they were soaking wet with water marks and smeared.
Except that there's no paper or ink in the phone. Anything you see, that we don't, is what's there with you. If light is reflecting off the screen, you can't post that - it's not in the picture, it's in the room.

As Golfdriver said, aside from that white scratch on the third picture, we can't see anything "wet" or "running". But if you're taking pictures of pictures, don't. As Mooncatt suggested, have a lab digitize the pictures for you. Or, if you have a printer that has scanning capability, digitize it yourself (scan it into your computer).

Not only no, but we don't see the problems you're talking about. (Maybe you have a poltergeist? [Only half kidding.])

Any device signed into that Google account will sync with it - phone, tablet, Android computer. But anything wrong with one picture can't "transfer" to another picture. Pictures are computer files, not paper pictures. If some of the bytes in one file "leaked" into another file, the most likely effect would be something like a kaleidoscope - a mishmash. Instead of a picture of a potato, you're more likely to get something that looks like mashed potatoes. There's no "ink" to leak, no "water". We don't see "water falling from chin to chest" on any of the pictures, just a few (the group shot, the young girl) that aren't well-enough lit. Unless that little girl's shirt really is that dark, with a dark print. (Some photographic things can surprise people - a friend drove a photo lab crazy, back in the 50s or 60s, because they couldn't get the color balance right - there were 2 shots with a little Spitz [the little white dog] that was green. He had dyed it green with food coloring. [Kids can do some really stupid things.])

But aside from the lighting in those 3 shots, and the what looks like glare off the printed picture you were taking a picture of in the second shot (and, as I said, that's not a good idea - especially not with a phone, maybe with a $4,000 lab setup), and the one picture that has a scratch, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. (Are you sure you didn't see something being reflected from the pictures, and just assumed that it would show up in the phone?)

A suggestion that is similar to what Mooncatt suggested....with another phone, record a video of it and point out (with a pointing object like a toothpick) and describe what you see on the phone with display issues. Upload to YouTube, and post the link here.

Mods.... special permission granted in this one instance if this bends the rules. I am interested in seeing what this lady is seeing for myself.
