Why are words being typed twice when I use my keyboard?

keyboard/possible touchscreen problem?

I'm having a new problem where when using my keyboard at random times even when I purposely type slow keys are being hit twice without me hitting twice so i will get 2 spaces or 2 of one letter

this only started in the last week or so

This happens on Swiftkey, stock keyboard and others

I've had the phone for 6 months I love it this is the first problem I've had

Any ideas?

It does sound like a touchscreen or motherboard problem - but the phone is under warranty. Back up everything and bring it to your carrier. Ask them to please fix or replace it.

I have this problem on and off for a while now. I use MultiROM and I keep switching back and forth between Lollipop GPE and ViperOne 4.2.1 and I usually get that problem on the GPE side whereas it works fine on ViperOne. Even before I used MultiROM, however, I used to get that problem, but as I said it's an on and off thing. Sometimes it disappears for a long time and then suddenly comes back for a short time and goes away again. I have a feeling it has to do with the charger I am using, because I noticed it mostly happens when the charger is plugged in the device - that is all, however, pure speculation from me.
