Why aren't hyperlinks working in group text?

Hyperlinks not working in group text

Is anyone else having this problem when in a group text? My friends will send a hyperlink to an article and when I receive it I can't just click on the link to open it. I already went to settings>messages> I have 'Allow access to all links' check on and still nothing. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.

If the group text is sent as individual texts to each member of the group, the URL is a link. If it's sent as an MMS, the URL is just text, it's not seen as a link, because it's in a text file (that your messaging app seamlessly presents as a text, so you don't see any difference).

Talk to the senders who are causing this. Have them turn on "send group messages as individual messages" or turn off "send group messages as MMS" or whatever equivalent their texting app has.

Thank you Rukbat I will do that. It's funny because before the update to Lollipop it was working fine then this started happening. But I will tell them and once again thank you.

I'm having the same problem. And yes, it worked fine before updating to lollipop. Did you figure out a solution?
