Why aren't I getting new E-mails?

E-mail woes

I can't figure out what's up with my Gmail. When I open the app for it on my Galaxy 4 7.0 tab, all I get is a list of e-mails from two weeks ago. When I tap the down arrow, I get a list from three weeks ago! There seems to be no way to access current e-mails. This used to work just fine; I have no idea how to "fix" this. Also, there is one e-mail I don't want to lose no matter what, since it gives all the info for an upcoming convention I'm attending. It's on the screen now, but I'm waiting for it to disappear with no way to find it again (I would not delete it). Help? Thanks....

If you check your Gmail online via the webmail interface is your newer mail there? It should be. A lot of people are having trouble with the Samsung email app. Are you using that or the actual Gmail app?

Best thing to do might be to go to another email client and ditch the Samsung one. There's plenty of good choices such as Type Mail, K-9, Cloud Magic, Maildroid, etc or my favorite, AquaMail.
