Music Artist Does Not Show Up Correctly

I have searched many forums, and downloaded many programs to fix this problem but nothing has worked. This problem has only happened to one artist (not a single other artist).
Every time I change the Artist "Nero" it always changes back. Initially it was "nero", then I did something using the app "Album Art Changer" and then, the artist info changed to "Nero.". I tried fiddling and adding letters and it became "Neroc" but if I changed it back it would still be "Nero.". I have tried five different programs on my LG G4 (Album Art Changer, Star Music Tag Editor, Music Tag Editor, Music Album Editor, and ID3Fixer). These all work for every other artist but "Nero".
On my computer I have tried Itunes and Mp3tag to fix the tags. On my computer, the tags show up perfectly normal. Whenever I transfer the mp3 files to my phone it will always change back and show up as "Nero.". I thought it was a problem with all the files, so I deleted all of them and downloaded new ones. I changed the tags and they still show up as "Nero.".
If anyone knows how or why this is happening and if there is a way to fix it that would be great.

Re: Music Artist Does Not Show Up Correctly

Welcome to Android Central! Are these mp3 files ripped from a CD or downloaded from a music service?

Re: Music Artist Does Not Show Up Correctly

I got them from a website called mp3goo so I do not believe they were ripped from a cd.
Thanks for the quick reply

*Update
This is also happening to some other artists.
"DEV" show up as "Dev".
I will post them if I find more

"deadmau5" shows up as "Deadmau5"
I know this is a really small problem but I just want to know why this is happening and why I cant fix it

"LMFAO" shows up as "lmfao"

"Gorillaz" shows up as "gorillaz"

"alt-J" shows up as "alt-J (?)"

"ZHU" shows up as "Zhu"

There are both "artist" and "album artist" tags on an mp3, are you updating both? Just guessing, I've not seen anything like this.

Re: Music Artist Does Not Show Up Correctly

I'm always very wary of "free" MP3 download sites or apps, because they're often on shaky legal ground (after all, they're offering copyrighted material that's supposed to be purchased for free). MP3GOO's site info says that they don't host any of these files, and that "these files which are located on remote servers which neither mp3goo.com nor it’s affiliates have any connection with / control of / association with." This suggests to me that they essentially trawl filesharing sites for music that has been (probably illegally) posted without permission. Since these files were posted by someone else, it's hard to know how they may have been ripped or modified.

Here are the Terms of Service from MP3GOO, from their website:

  1. Mp3goo.com does not host any of the music files displayed on this site.
  2. Mp3goo.com indexes these files which are located on remote servers which neither mp3goo.com nor it’s affiliates have any connection with / control of / association with.
  3. You download mp3 files from another host service. (not from mp3goo.com).
  4. All music on is presented only for fact-finding listening.
  5. You must remove a song from the computer after listening.
  6. If You won’t delete files from the computer, You’ll break the copyrights protection laws.
  7. All the rights on the songs are the property of their respective owners.
  8. Mp3goo.com is a search engine, but we respect an Copyright Laws. So if You have found a link to an illegal mp3 file please use the form below.
Bold is added by me. Please bear this in mind when using that site.
