Why can I no longer switch back and forth between installed languages on my S4?

As of today, I can no longer change the language via the space bar when I text. Also, in the settings, the Samsung keyboard option is disabled - I can't click on it to enable it, though I can see that both the languages I have used for the last year are still there.

Can anybody help?
