Why can I only receive phone calls?

i can only receive phone calls my screen is locked i have a s3

I turned my phone on this morning and it will not let me do anything it is on the lock screen with a key pad on it but will not let me make any calls i can receive them, but that is all i have turned it on and took battery out but still nothing I have a galaxy s3 it has not been dropped or anything worked fine yesterday

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that the phone won't let you enter your PIN or password? Or did you forget your PIN?
