Why can't anyone hear me on a call?

I can't hear them and they can't hear me

When I try and call someone (or they call me), I can't hear anything and they can't hear me. I've tried restarting my phone, switching it on and off again and putting it on speaker phone. It's only started doing this today but it's pretty important I get it working again. I have an HTC One M7 and have had it for just over a year. This is the first time this has happened. HELP!

This just started with my wife's HTC One in the last day as well and I haven't figured it out yet... My HTC One is still fine. We've had both since July 2013...

I also just started having this problem. I did a factory reset this morning, and audio in calls worked for a while, but now is gone again. It has to have something to do with an update to one of the factory apps.

If it helps anyone, I have the HTC One M7 Unlocked (purchased direct from HTC). I've had it just under a year.

Uninstalling the HTC One Service pack and rebooting worked for me..
