Why can't anyone hear me when on a call?

no one can hear me

when someone calls me i can hear them but they cannot hear me same if i call somebody i can hear them they cannot hear me texts go thru fine had this problem when first got phone but i bumped it with my hand and it started to work then it did it again and verizon fixed it in settings some how does anyone know how to fix this problem

What phone do you have?

Is there anything obstructing the microphone, like a screen protector or a case? Are you maybe covering the microphone with your fingers accidentally? Is there any dirt in the microphone?

thanks for answering this happened when i first got the phone and 3 weeks after the first time and now again after another 3 weeks have not done anything that i know of didnt push any buttons the last 2 times they did something in settings i think just dont know what it is

If that is the situation, I'd recommend getting a warranty replacement.
