Android Central Question

Hi,

So I just got an unlocked HTC One as a replacement phone and I'm not able to add or edit APN settings.

Im on Tesco Mobile and have added the exact settings they list on their web page for the HTC One.

So when I go to settings>Mobile Data it lists Tesco as my Network Operator

I click on Access point names like all the tutorials say to and nothing is listed, it just says "Access point name settings are not available for this user" it does let me click the + button to add a new APN though. So I type in the details exactly how Im supposed to, click the vertical "..." button and hit save. I even restart the device but the APN I just typed never shows.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? I'm guessing there is a fix because I took it to my local sleazy mobile phone salesman and he said he would fix it for £30, I cant really afford that and I'm guessing he is just trying to rip me off

Calls and Texts appear to be working just fine, just no internet.

Thanks for your help and feel free to ask if you need any more info!

Welcome to Android Central! Which exact HTC One model do you have? There are quite a few variants. Also, let us know the exact model number, in Settings>About Phone.
