Why can't I change the size of my widgets

I recently got the new Huawei Mate 10. I've been customizing my phone but can't seem to adjust the size of my widgets.
Does anyone know how to change the size of my widgets.

Well I have the honor 8 but I don't see how to do it on the stock ui. You can install Nova launcher and that allows you to re size widgets.

You hold your finger down on them and then adjust the blue dots.
