Why can't I edit the highlights videos from my Huawei P20 Pro?

I have already 2 videos created in the Highlights folder but when I try to edit the video (tap on it) to edit, add music etc, the option menu loads for a split second (I can see it) and then gets back to the previous page.

Have you tried running the video editor app, then opening the video in it?
