Why can't I find albums on my HTC One's gallery on my PC?

Can't find albums in my HTC one's gallery on PC

Okay so, long story short i dropped my HTC One into water. Buttons are broken, i'm just trying to salvage data. Phone still turns on and i can access every now and then. I have it plugged into my laptop via usb and i'm trying to move my files over. However, I can't seem to find some of my albums in Gallery. They're not in DCIM so i went into the phone and found the directory to be something along the lines of htcone/internalstorage/storage/emulated/0/Pictures
But, there is no Pictures subfolder when i'm going through my phone on the laptop. Any help? I just want my pictures.

Welcome to Android Central! The Gallery shows any photo stored anywhere on the phone's storage, as long as there isn't a file called ".nomedia" in its directory. Which albums are you have trouble finding? Did you place them there, or are they from other apps, like WhatsApp or Facebook?

Also, which HTC One do you have, so I can move this thread to a more specific forum?

I'm the OP. I created some albums directly from my gallery, and i didn't take them with a separate app, just the phone's camera. My phone is a HTC M7 i believe, SKU 6049A. I found my other albums like Kik and Facebook in DCIM, and i tried following the path from the "details" of the pictures in question but i couldn't find the folders in question.

The directory that the camera typically saves photos to is /DCIM/Camera. Did you physically move the photos from that directory to a new directory that represents the album you created? You've already checked /DCIM/Camera for those photos?

I've already checked there, yes. I didn't go into the directory, i took the photos from the "All Photos" gallery and created an album from the gallery itself and placed the pictures in there.

The filepath it gives me is /storage/emulated/0/Pictures/(album name) but I cant find a folder entitled pictures in the 0 folder

That should be the same as /storage/sdcard0/Pictures. Any luck there?
