Can't hear people and they can't hear me on calls after lollipop update on S4

After updating my Galaxy S4 to lollipop on most of my calls I can't hear anybody and nobody can hear me, does anybody know the solution to this please? Also my phone runs really slowly since the update, has anybody else experienced this and got a solution?

Welcome to Android Central! I would bring the phone back to your wireless store and ask them what they can do, since it was their update. In the meantime, try wiping the cache partition: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744
