Cannot any shortcut to 'My Files' on my new Samsung S6 Edge

I just got my phone. I realised that I do not have a shortcut for my files and the only way I can access it is through 'S Finder'. It is not on 'Apps' and I have no idea how to create an icon for it on my 'Apps' or 'home screen'. Any help is much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums!

Do you have a "My Files" app in the app drawer? I haven't looked at the S6, but all my Samsungs have had that. If so, tap and hold and drag that to the screen you want. That makes a shortcut for you.

In the app drawer . Look for a samsung folder, it should be in there.

Thanks for you help. It was in the App Drawer in a multiple folder called 'Tools'. thanks for your responses.

Well if you use it a lot and I do mine, you can do what I said above. I always put a shortcut for it on one of my home screens.

How to View Files in My Files

Touch Apps from Home.
Touch Samsung.
Touch My Files.
To view files or folders in a category, tap the category.
Tap a file or folder to open/view.

I had accidentally removed mine from the tools folder.
I finally found a way to create the icon shortcut.

-If you dont have a folder of icons on your homescreen then create one by dragging one icon shortcut on top of another. It will create a folder. Once you name the folder you can see a (+) icon at the bottom to add more app shortcuts to that folder.
1) Click the (+) sign and in the search field at top type "my files". Tap on it to add a checkmark.
2) Click the 'X" in the search field and see in the top right "add" which will add any icons youve checked.
Voila! My Files icon can now be dragged out of that folder and placed on any homescreen.
