Android Central Question

My AOL email account was easy to add to my Samsung email app as were my Yahoo & Gmail.
But the AOL stopped syncing so I removed it and re-added it, worked fine for a while.
Stopped syncing again, removed it again and now I can't add it back.
I go to add it and it starts processing and then a window comes up that says...
AOL.
We're some updates and this page has moved.
Go to aol.com to sign in.
I click to sing in it asks for screen name and password, I put them in and it says...
Unable To Validate Account!
And dumps me back to the Set Up Account page.
And by the way I can add any other AOL accounts I have but not this one!

I am having the same issue. I downloaded the AOL app so I can get my mail that way but I can not get it on my regular email account. This happened yesterday so I wonder if the was some update glitch

I found a work-around. I manually set up the email and entered my password in the ingoing and outgoing fields.

It works. Hope that helps someone else.

Going on here, too. Straightened it out a couple of months ago and now phone won't let me log in. Changed PW. Deleted AOL and when I try to add it back I get the same message, cannot validate account. Contacted AOL and got a deer-in-the-headlights reply.

Starting today (4/26/18) I have the very same problem on my Samsung s*. I finally deleted the AOL account, but when I try to put it back on my phone, I get the invalid account message. Frustrating

This morning (4/27/18) I tried to add the AOL mail account I had removed from my Samsung S8: it worked! There were no problems at all. I suspect whatever problems AOL had were corrected during the night. For some reason my AOL account in Windows 10 Mail (which didn't have problems and worked yesterday) decided I needed to "update" my sign-in credentials this morning. I did, and now it works well.
