why cant i receive any wireless connection on my phone?

[Android Central Question]

my oneplus 5t got damp with sea water recently but worked fine for a few days after, it then had a system update and after restarting my device numerous times it doesn't recognize my sim card and it wont connect to the WiFi anywhere is there a fix or is it time for a new phone? ( i've tried it in rice overnight)

Welcome to Android Central! Salt water is deadly for phones. It most likely caused some irreversible damage to some of the internals. I doubt you can fix it -- looks like it's time for a new phone. Sorry!
