Why can't I receive photo attachments in text messages?

cannot recieve photo attachments to text messages

Samsung S4 displays yellow box showing message size and an expiration date with white message to download. download does not do anything but show pulsating line then shuts off

I'm not sure that I fully understand. Can you vie the photos or not? And is the problem not downloading it or viewing it?

I have the same problem. Wife & I both have unlocked Galaxy S4s bought and unlocked at the same time. She doesn’t have this problem. When we both get a text with a photo her phone shows the photo in the message. I get the “yellow” message per the first post. I’ve included a screen shot. Sometimes the photo may actually download when I click on the box, but it may usually takes over ½ hour, or it may not download at all. It just chews up the battery, so I delete the photo and ask the sender to email it to me. I checked at the T-Mobile store and they said that sometimes and unlocked phone just acts differently. They installed a new SIM card to see if that would fix it, and it didn’t.

Whenever I receive a photo in my text messages, I get a box that pops up to download the photo. I click on it but it never downloads.
