Why can't I see my individual items in my email folders?

Can't see my individual items in my email folders

New Tab E, worked fine but , after "playing" with settings now can only see my email folders BUT NOT the individual emails that are in them. The email works as I've done test send and receive messages and my device shows the total number changing but I just can't see my actual emails. Sure it's a settings issue.
Any ideas much appreciated as currently travelling and need a working email

on the right there will be a line very near the edge of the screen this is the divider drag the line towards the left to see your emails if you can't see the line try dragging from the right edge of the screen towards the left.
