Why can't I send pictures in my email on my Droid Razor Maxx?

Droid Razor Maxx Can't Send Pictures in Email

Droid Razr Maxx running v4.1.2 can't send emails with pictures from the OEM mail application. Not sure if this is a coincident or not, but this is the 1st I've tried doing thing since performing a full reset on my phone a few days ago. When I attempt to send an email with an attached picture, it just sits in the Outbox. If I send an email without a picture attached, it seems to work OK.

I know for a fact this worked in the past, as I use this function pretty regularly. Any suggestion on what to do to fix this? It tried powering the phone off/on, but I still have the issue. I have plenty of storage space from what I can tell and I'm not even close to my provider's (Verizon) paid data limit.

Turns out it won't send any email with an attachment. What can be wrong?
