Why can't I tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture anymore?

I cannot tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture anymore.

I used to be able to just tap anywhere and the phone would focus and take a picture. Now when I tap the screen it just does a focus. Why? HTC M7

Try looking in the camera app settings to see if the feature is still there and turned on.
