Why can't I turn my S4 on?

S4 Black screen help!

One hour ago, i switched my phone off. Then when i tried to use it it didn't respond when i pressed/holded the butttons on the phone. When i took out the battery and put it in, the screen showed the name of the phone like it always does when restarting but it didn't show the flashing samsung logo after that. When i tried plugging the phone into my computer, there was no sign on my comp. that my phone was pluggged in. Please help!!!!!!. many thanks in advance)))))))))))))

Welcome to Android Central! After the battery pull, what exactly happened when you powered back on? You saw the name of the phone, but then did it just shut off again? That could be a failing battery. Try a new or different one.

The phone shut off after I powered my phone on and i saw name of the phone. Thanks anyway.
