Why can't I update my Samsung Galaxy s5?

[AC Question]

I have tried everything even resetting my phone. I have 4.4.2 when I should have the current lollipop version. When I try to update my phone it tells me the update as been interrupted. Please help!!

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone currently on its original network, or did you take an S5 from one network to another? If it's an AT&T S5, for example, it usually has to be on the AT&T network to get the official system update pushed to it by AT&T. Other networks wouldn't be able to push their system update to the phone.
