Why can't my Huawei Mate 10 connect with the Remax Repower powerbank with SD slot?

I bought a Remax Repower powerbank RF88 to use with my Huawei Mate 10. I downloaded the app required but when I connected the cord to the USB slot, the phone started charging but cannot communicate information between the phone and the card reader. Supposedly the light indicator turns blue when data is transmitted but mine only stays green. Please help. Thanks.

An SD card has to be plugged into the SD port.

You have to use the original cable that comes with it.

You have to use the Normal charging port, not the fast charge port.

If you're doing all that (and you're sure the SD card is good), contact the seller for a replacement or a refund.
