Why can't my iPhone children see my S7 screenshots that I send via text message?

Apparently when I send a screenshot through text message to my children who use iPhones, they do not receive it. This is annoying. Also, today my ex husband sent me this message he received after I sent him a screenshot... "One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset". Are these two companies really doing this sh&t to make our lives more stressful?! Geez, is there any setting I can change that will make my S7 screenshots compatible with the iPhone?

Apple has so many barriers when receiving content. That's why most of us Android people hate iPhone.

I agree with the above poster, it's a nightmare to do anything with files between the two platforms! My mms pics go ok to my iPhone owning family, but I often just use whatsapp to avoid unpleasantness... Apples vision of a brave new world with all citizens owning apple products...

You or the people you're exchanging screenshots with are using AT&T or Rogers, right?

Use an app that saves your screenshots as a jpg file not a png file. They will compress much further and are more likely to fall under AT&T's size limit(s).

There is a limit on how big any MMS attachment can be on AT&T. Every AT&T branded phone also has a hardcoded limit in it's firmware. If the attachment is bigger than either of these, you get the MMS adaptation error.

Apple phones use iMessage for texting. It's a proprietary protocol, and they won't allow anyo9ne else to use it. So sending from one to the other (Android to iPhone or iPhone to Android) is where MMS was in 2003 - you can't depend on sending between them. (We got the cross-carrier mess straightened out - wait 10 years and the iPhone-Android thing may be also.)

Hello again. Not too hyped about the responses. My S5 screenshots had no problem getting to their phones. We are all on AT&T network. Why are the problems just beginning with my S7?

On another semi related topic, since my upgrade to S7 about a month ago, when I try to share videos to a group on Facebook, it does not work. I go to the group a few minutes later, look for my post, nada. Meanwhile, someone else has posted the video so at least the info is getting out but it is QUITE annoying.
