Why can't my Tab S 10.5 only play some videos copied from my computer?

When ever I copy movies to my sd card the tablet wont play them.
I've tried copying them to the device, I've tried the convert option, I've even tried a converting program.
The sd isn't corrupt because for some reason it's picky about what Mp4's can play. Meaning some can play but others wont.

It is a 4g Samsung Galaxy tab s 10.5 running on Kernel 3.4.0 16g from Verizon.

Try copying a video to internal memory if that works it is probably your sd card. There are a lot of fake sd cards out there

I had exactly the same problem. Turned out my SD card was corrupted. I verified this with a free app from Google Play called "SD Insight".

Replaced the card, verified it was OK and never had a problem since. Good luck.
