why did i lose half my battery time (12hrs to 6) since i was forced to download the software lolipop

I lost half my battery time since I was forced to download the new software lollipop on my note 3 (Verizon) how can I fix this

Did you do a factory reset after the system update? That helps!

Be sure to wipe cache partition in recovery before the factory reset.
