Why did my Samsung Galaxy S6 stop charging?

my samsung glxy s6 stopped charging

my Glaxy s6 gave some charging sound while connected to charger but after some time stopped charging and its off. also while i was connecting charger it says DOC is connected and battery will drain..
i am confuse i dont understand what to do,please advice me ,

Welcome to Android Central! You mean "Dock is connected," right? There might be a problem with the USB cable and/or the microUSB port. Try a different cable, and also check the microUSB port for any debris or damage.
