Why did my Snapchat Memories disappeared?

I came back from a vacation today, and all my snaps from the vacation were saved to the memories. Today I plugged the phone to the computer and wanting to download the memories onto it, only to find that the memories are missing (the last day seems to be there but all of the last week is missing). I get the message of "Backup error" but i cannot backup the snaps for some reason. I am very frustrated because these snaps mean a great deal to me.

The same is happening to me from a trip to Montreal I returned from a few days ago, if anyone can help at all it'd be really appreciated. Thanks!

The same thing happened to me! I logged out of my account on snapchat and logged back in and they all came back! When you do that don't forget to go one by one and save them to your phone. Then, go into your settings and check mark save to memories and camera roll so theyre there just in case!

I had the exact same thing happen to me last week and have been looking for a fix for it since. Have you been able to restore any of your pictures?

The same thing happened to me! I logged out of my account on snapchat and logged back in and they all came back! When you do that don't forget to go one by one and save them to your phone. Then, go into your settings and check mark save to memories and camera roll so theyre there just in case!

That worked perfectly, I can't believe I forgot to use that simple fix of logging out and in. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for this! Came home from a 2,5 week vacation yesterday to find only the last couple of days of Snapchat stories showing in Memories. After logging out and back in, everything's there!

I'm having the same problem. My grandmother was in hospice and on Sunday I took a picture of me holding her hand. She passed away this morning. I went to post the picture on Facebook only to find out that all my memories were blank. My phone didn't have enough storage to back up the photos. I trusted Snapchat with those pictures because the memories file is supposed to keep your memory pictures for you to refer back to later. Because this is how they advertised it in their video when memories first came out. I logged out and logged back in only to find a small fraction of my photos there. Sadly the pictures of my grandmother are no longer on Snapchat. I was so upset that I wrote Snapchat a complaint letter.

I did this thing where i cleared all me cache as someone suggested and then logged off and unfortunately i couldn't get any single memories back which had depressed my mood further those pictures truly meant a lot to me. Is there even a slight change that i could get them back. And i checked my storage after i cleared the cache it increased the storage by 3GBs, i am very disappointed at myself for not finding the files it was in because it hadnt been backed up yet just lurking around on my phone so. I would suggest logging off first and seeing if it works and them try clearing the cache method which has worked for some people but it just hasnt worked for me. I also did a compliment to Snapchat a month + ago they still haven't replied. I have a bad memory so all my memory of my holiday are gone. Sad times.
