Since the LG V30 didn't come with a secondary display, what are the disadvantages compared to the predecessor the V20?
That you can't use a dedicated second display as you would be able to on the V20 and V10.
So no fast app switching, no media controls, no phone call notification that doesn't cover part of the main screen.
Admittedly, LG could have done SO much more with the second screen but it's still extremely useful to me.
How did I know it would be you to quote my post and respond hahaAre you sure none of those features are included in the floating screen?

Yes because the floating screen takes up part of the main screen so whatever it does obviously will have to overlay some part of the main screen. You can't just tap the display that's always on and always expanded to switch apps. When a phone call comes in, some way, somehow, it will cover part of the screen. I imagine it would be similar to the G6, but it still covers part of the screen.
Admittedly, there's a part of me that just has second screen pride, because the V30 has the functionality of the second screen, it just takes extra taps to do it. But worst of all, without a dedicated second display, any phone could fathomably do whatever the V30 does.
None that I can think of, the lgv30 comes with an optional floating widget that mimics the secondary display if your into that kind of thing.Since the LG V30 didn't come with a secondary display, what are the disadvantages compared to the predecessor the V20?

The floating window is what convinced me to get the V30. I needed that second screen. I think this could possibly be better because with one hand use, you can access the bar now.
I really like how the AOD is interactive now too.
The V30 better have the flashlight toggle or it's DOA.![]()
Awesome. I use the flashlight function numerous times/day, and I love being able to toggle it on or off without turning on the screen.
Hopefully, it doesn't have the camera lens shattering issue some V20 owners dealt with
