certain group messages only showing as individual messages
I'm in a group chat with five other people, and we text pretty consistently. However, when one of my friends sends an MMS to this group chat, it comes to me as an individual message (in our private SMS chat, separate from the group). It only happens when this particular person sends an MMS to the group. For the other four people, the MMS group chat works just fine. Any ideas on why this might be happening and how I could fix it?
Also, while I'm at it, does anyone know a way to name group texts? For example, instead of having it listed in my conversations as "Name, Name, Name," I could have it listed as "Group of Awesome Friends" or something. Is this possible?
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Mobile data is on and I have service, so it's not a download issue. I'm using the standard messaging app.
