911 error over wifi

I could no longer afford paying $70 a month for metroPCS ,it use to be $30 unlimited so I stop paying and ask them for the unlock code and said they would email it to me ,its been almost two weeks meanwhile I was making calls thru my router using Wi-Fi and strangely all of a sudden I got an error E911 with a little icon of a red phone on my top left of my phone ,like it was done purposely to see if I panic and pay for service, all it did was made me angry,I did business with MetroPCS since they started and if I'm right about them doing this to me ,its illegal and shame on them.I kept my side of the contract which is 90 days now they should comply "MetroPCS/T-Mobile.

If they haven't sent you the unlock code yet, file a complaint with the FCC. They're required by law to tell or send you the SIM unlock code as long as the phone is fully paid for.

Of course, making calls over wifi means that you have some VoIP phone service. You can't use MetroPCS' wifi calling after you have no account with them.
