Why do I get a random picture showing on my Facebook messenger?

Random picture showing on facebook messenger

This is a bit of a weird issue my husband is having on his s4. When he is in fb messenger he will occasionally see a picture that only shows for about a second and then it will fade away. I have searched the internet hoping I would find an explanation but I didn't find anything about it. I plan on factory resetting the device if I can't find what is causing it, but I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and knew what it was.

I get the same thing, samsung s4, just the last couple of weeks but I cannot find anything about it anywhere online. Bit concerned it's a hacking or security problem. Very strange. Let us know if you find anything out. I'll get on twitter and see if anyone can help. What r the pics u get? I get animals! Squirrels, giraffes I think but like u say only for a second then fades.. Weird

I have an s 4 as well and have experience this as of recently. I noticed when I type specific words, pictures pop up, like when I type "good", a picture of a persons hand with a thumbs up pops up but it's almost impossible to screen shot since they're only up for like 2 seconds... I did manage to tap and hold down one on one of the pictures, and it opened up the picture, but an enlarged one, and gave me the option to either tag, remove, or share, but when I clicked remove, it just froze there, so I had to x out of the box.. I DID screen shot that if any of you want to see it, it's really weird, it's a guy holding a sign up in front of his face that says-I need money. I'll show you what that weird screen looks like if anyone wants to see it

I have a S3 and get the same thing. Just started. I type I'm mad and get a grey cat, mad pig, and mad bee. I'm happy is a sun

I get them. A cat, pig, bee for I'm mad. Other pictures too.
